My Lockdown Thoughts & What I've Learnt

I've seen a lot of posts about people's lockdowns, and while I've wanted to chime in, it's never felt like the right time. Almost 3 months since my last post and today, after a productive morning of cleaning and laundry, it finally felt like the right time to get back into it.

Books I've Read Recently

At the beginning of the year, I pledged to read 30 books as part of the Goodsreads 2020 Challenge but because of recent world developments, I've since upped it to 40. I shared some books I enjoyed earlier this year, but thought I'd do a dive into my recent reads and share my favourites.

My Asian Beauty Favourites

I recently reordered a bunch of my favourite Asian skincare bits and it dawned on me that I've never shared them on the blog before. I first discovered the world of Asian beauty in 2015 when my skin was at its worst. The products tend to be a lot milder and more gentle on the skin. I still use a lot of the principles of AB (double cleansing, toner, etc.) and thought I'd share some of my favourite bits on here.

My Perfume Collection

Up until I was 13, I didn't own a perfume. Instead I just stole it from my mom. For my 16th birthday, my grandparents got me my first ever perfume, the famous Daisy from Marc Jacobs. I've since started a little collection of perfumes that are each linked to different memories and points in time. Today, I'm walking you through them.

My Haircare Routine

One of the things that I get complimented on most (when I wear it down!) is my hair. So today, I've decided to share my haircare routine.

How I'm Staying Sane During Quarantine

I'm living alone during the mandatory quarantine in London. Despite a couple meltdowns, I've made a couple changes over the past few weeks to help me stay positive despite what's going on in the world.

How I'm Making my Bathroom Greener

I've previously mentioned that I'm looking at reducing my consumption, but I'm also trying to choose more sustainable options that use less packaging and plastic. Here are some of the small changes that I've made in one of my most polluting spaces--the bathroom.

My Favourite Drugstore Skincare Products

I used to fall into a trap of thinking that skincare had to be expensive. I still like spending on skincare (I find it more worth it than makeup) but have found a couple drugstore items that I love. Here are some of my favourite budget buys.

What's on My Wish List (& Why I'm Changing How I Shop)

As much as I've never been "in" to fast fashion, I have noticed that I do shop a lot--even if I do return most things. While I'm not buying into a capsule wardrobe just yet, I am trying to be more conscious of what I buy, where I buy it, and why I buy it.

Instead of buying a lot of things, I want to continue investing in items that I love and wear often, because that's where I should be spending more money. I'm thinking of writing a full post more about sustainable fashion, and how I'm aiming to become more sustainable another time. Until then, here's what's on my wish list.

48 Hours in Lisbon

In October (I know, this post has taken ages!) I went to Lisbon for 2 days and absolutely loved it. The food, people, and weather were so amazing and, despite getting a cold, it was one of my favourite European cities I've been to. So settle in, and prepare for an onslaught of pretty buildings.

Empty Products (& Ones I'd Repurchase)

This post took me a massive amount of time to write as I've gone through a load of products throughout the last half of the year. Here's a round up of the products I used up, and which ones I'd buy again.

Glossier London & My Glossier Must Have's

Glossier is one of those brands that a lot of people love (ahem, me) and loads more talk about (also me). With the Glossier pop-up once again gracing London's streets (it's here until 9 Feb 2020 people!!), I thought I'd chat about some of my favourite products, the pop up, and why I love it so. And yes, this is the second Glossier pop up I've been to this year, sue me.

My Moisturizer Routine

Skincare has become one of my favourite things to shop for as skincare is definitely a large part of my self-care routine. I have a mask for every mood, a cleanser for every season, and a serum for every skin problem. I fell in love with the Dr Jart Ceramidin Cream a couple years ago but it's a bit pricey to buy every couple of months. So here's my budget (and favourite!) moisturiser combo for hydrated, Glossier worthy skin.

New in Beauty Bits

I'm trying to be more conscious about the products I buy, especially when it comes to makeup and beauty products. I've been known to hoard multiple shades of the same lipstick, only to come home from Sephora with another pinky nude. While I still have an obscene amount of pinky nude lipsticks (especially considering I don't wear lipstick on a daily basis), I've been pairing back how much I buy. Despite my best efforts, here are some items I've been gifted and some I've bought that I absolutely love.

A Weekend in Dorset

Over the August bank holiday weekend, my parents invited me to join them at the beautiful Jurassic Coast in Dorset. The weekend was beautiful--food filled, great views, and stunning food--really all I could've asked for in a long weekend!

Beauty Products I've Been Loving

I cannot believe that August is over already and we're now in the final few months of 2019. This year has seriously flown by! I've discovered a couple new beauty favourites this summer that I realised I haven't spoken about much and thought I'd share some thoughts.

Books I've Read Recently

Recently (about a month ago) I rediscovered my love for physical books. I've read a number of books on my Kindle, which I still love, but there's a satisfaction to finishing something physical, tangible, that my Kindle just doesn't give me. Over the past month I've read a number of books that I've absolutely loved so here are some of my suggestions
